Here’s Your Chance To Own Tom Brady’s First NFL Touchdown Football

If you’re a Tom Brady fan with seriously deep pockets, here’s your chance to own the holy grail of football memorabilia.

If you’re a Tom Brady fan with deep pockets, here’s your chance to own the holy grail of football memorabilia.

Up for auction is the most historic football to ever surface and quite possibly the most important football artifact ever offered – very literally a one-of-a kind piece of global sports history – the FIRST EVER TOUCHDOWN ball from Tom Brady’s elite career! Who could have imagined what was to follow when, on October 14th, 2001 against the San Diego Chargers, the man who would become the GOAT threw a perfect 21-yard spiral to Terry Glenn for his first career touchdown in a 29-26 victory at Foxboro Stadium.

In his excitement over the second-quarter strike, Glenn caught the ball and proceeded to throw it into the stands – this is that ball and it has been tucked away since. The official NFL (Tagliabue) Wilson football has “PATS” handwritten in black marker near the laces and a faint “17” can be seen written on the opposite side, consistent with identifying team game balls. Of the all-time record 581 regular-season touchdown balls that TB12 has accounted for, it must again be stressed that this is the very first, and it’s photo-matched perfectly to Terry Glenn celebrating in the end zone.

Given that this is one of the most significant game-used milestone items extant in any sport, it’s not going to be cheap. The starting bid was $75,000, and it’s already climbed to $141,422, with 5 days left in the auction.
